Iron Horse Equine is a full-service equine veterinary practice dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while building strong, lasting partnerships with the people who care for their horses.

Located in Elizabeth, Colorado, in the heart of horse country, we provide ambulatory services, advanced diagnostics, and in-house rehabilitation at our 40 acre Morning Sky Farm. Our caseload spans routine wellness, lameness, emergency medicine, dentistry, and internal medicine—allowing us to support both performance and long-term health through thoughtful, individualized care.
Our Story
​Iron Horse Equine was founded by Dr. Tami Sorley, who has served the Douglas and Elbert County equine community since 1989. After decades of ambulatory practice, she recognized the need for a more comprehensive and advanced model of care—one that better supported both patients and clients. That vision continues today as a locally-owned, multi-veterinarian practice that blends trusted experience with modern medicine. ​At our core, we invest in what matters—our patients, our clients, and our team. We turn passion into action and approach our work with a growth mindset, continually refining how we practice, communicate, and care. ​Our approach is collaborative and practical. We prioritize clear communication, consistency, and informed decision-making, working closely with owners to develop care plans that align with their goals and their horse’s needs. We believe the best outcomes come from combining clinical expertise with a shared commitment to doing what is right for the horse.
