Supporting Horses in Need Across the Front Range

At Iron Horse Equine, we believe veterinary care extends beyond individual appointments—it’s part of supporting the broader equine community.

The Iron Unicorn Fund was created to provide meaningful veterinary care to horses who might not otherwise have access, while supporting the people and organizations dedicated to their wellbeing.

A Different Approach to Giving Back

There are many ways to support nonprofit organizations and horses in need—discounts, donations, or occasional services.

We chose a different path.

Rather than offering small, ongoing discounts, the Iron Unicorn Fund is built around focused, high-impact care. Our goal is to provide support in a way that is:

  • Intentional

  • Meaningful

  • Sustainable

  • Centered on real outcomes for horses

By concentrating resources where they matter most, we are able to deliver care that can truly change the trajectory for a horse or organization.

Support for Horse Owners

In select situations, the Iron Unicorn Fund may be used to assist privately owned horses when unexpected or challenging circumstances arise.

Each case is considered individually, with a focus on:

  • Responsible ownership

  • The horse’s welfare and long-term outcome

  • Situations where timely care can make a meaningful difference

Iron Unicorn Day
Support for Non-profits

We partner with local rescues, sanctuaries, and equine-assisted programs to provide structured, high-impact veterinary support.

These partnerships allow us to deliver advanced care to horses in transition, rehabilitation, or long-term sanctuary—often addressing needs that would otherwise be difficult to meet.
