A Bit About Dr. Gieche
(pronounced “Geeky”—like Geek Squad) Dr. Lyndsy Gieche brings a highly detail-oriented, analytical approach to equine veterinary care, with a primary focus on advanced equine dentistry and comprehensive case evaluation. She grew up in Wisconsin in her father’s equine veterinary practice, gaining early exposure to the profession and developing a strong foundation in equine care. Her father, Dr. Jon Gieche, is a Board-Certified Equine Dental Specialist (Diplomate AVDC/EQ), which helped shape her early interest in advanced dental procedures and high-level case management. Dr. Gieche earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Findlay and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri. She completed an equine internship at Bend Equine Medical Center in Oregon. Dr. Gieche has a strong clinical focus on advanced equine dentistry, including dental extractions, complex periodontal disease treatment, and diastema management. She is particularly interested in cases requiring detailed diagnostics and careful planning, and is known for her thorough, precise approach to identifying and addressing underlying dental pathology. Her clinical style is structured and information-driven. She prioritizes comprehensive diagnostics and thoughtful evaluation, allowing her to develop clear, well-supported treatment plans. Clients value her depth of knowledge, attention to detail, and genuine kindness, as well as her commitment to approaching each case with care and intention. Within the practice, Dr. Gieche works closely with the veterinary team to provide focused dental expertise. Many routine and advanced dental cases are referred internally to her, while she collaborates with colleagues on lameness and performance-related cases to ensure each patient benefits from the team’s collective strengths. Outside of work, Dr. Gieche enjoys exploring the outdoors, hiking with her dogs, horseback riding, and playing soccer. She also has a creative side and spends time on photography, ceramics, sketching, and other artistic pursuits.
